Farm Credit East, the Northeast’s largest agricultural lender, recently awarded $65,000 in higher education scholarships to 38 student recipients. Farm Credit East’s scholarship program supports students with diverse career aspirations in agriculture, commercial fishing, forest products and related fields from across the association’s eight-state territory, including three diversity candidate recipients.

Farm Credit East is currently seeking creative images of modern Northeast agriculture, commercial fishing and forest products to fill the pages of its 2023 Agricultural Views calendar. The 2022-23 New York State Budget included three significant tax credits that could be applicable to many farmers in New York. Farm Credit East recently awarded $25,500 in scholarships to support 17 educators who will be attending Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) programs this summer where they will learn to teach CASE courses to high school students in Farm Credit East’s territory.
