Farm Credit East’s bylaws provide for the nomination of candidates by petition. To gain access by petition, an eligible nominee must provide the secretary of the association with signatures of at least 50 voting members by Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The deadline to insure spring crops in the northeast for the 2022 crop year is March 15, 2022. Insurable spring crops include field and vegetable crops such as corn, soybeans, barley, oats, fresh market sweet corn, cabbage, processing beans, processing sweet corn, dry beans, green peas, fresh market beans, tomatoes, tobacco and potatoes.

Last fall, Farm Credit East announced the opening of nominations for the Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. The nomination deadline for this award has been extended to February 18, 2022.
