With heightened cybersecurity threats and attacks, Farm Credit East wants to assure our customers that we take the utmost care to ensure the privacy and protection of your information. Following are our required procedures to protect your information along with things we will never do. When in doubt, just give us a call. We’re always happy to verify a request.
Identify Verification
When you perform sensitive online transactions, such as money transfers, Farm Credit East may ask you additional questions to verify your identity. Farm Credit East also uses secret questions as an additional authentication method.
Password Reset Prompts
Farm Credit Connect will prompt you to update your password every 90 days to ensure your password remains protected.
Secure Online Portal
Farm Credit Connect is the most secure way to communicate with your Farm Credit East team and exchange documents.
Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
Farm Credit Connect uses multifactor authentication to log on. This requires a user to verify their login credentials via another device. MFA is done via SMS text to a cell phone or a phone call with the code.
Session Timeouts
If you are signed on, but not using Farm Credit Connect for several minutes, your session will time out. To resume your activity, you will need to re-enter your user ID and password.
Team Training
All staff participate in regular training to stay up to date on best practices to protect customer information.

- Request your password
- Request payment to obtain information outside of your regular billing statement(s)
- Request confidential information via text message or unsecure email
