Farm Credit East is currently accepting applications for farm worker housing construction and improvement loans from the New York State Farm Worker Housing (FWH) Loan Program. A limited pool of loan funds is now available to fund new projects. These loans are available to New York agricultural producers, including fruit, vegetable, greenhouse and nursery, equine, and dairy operations. 

Farm Credit East reported solid 2023 financial results today, showing continued growth in loans coupled with strong earnings, which allowed Farm Credit East to distribute a combined $130 million in patronage dividends to eligible customer-owners based on 2023 earnings. 

FarmStart, a unique Farm Credit program that invests working capital in beginning Northeast agriculture, commercial fishing and forest products ventures showing promise of success, recently announced it has invested more than $17 million in startup agriculture, forestry and fishing businesses since 2006.

Farm Credit East reported solid 2022 financial results at its annual meeting held earlier this week. Continued growth in loans coupled with strong earnings allowed Farm Credit East to distribute a record $117 million in patronage dividends to eligible customer-owners based on 2022 earnings.
