Farm Credit East Employees Give Thanks

Each Thanksgiving season, I take time to reflect on the past year. In this time of reflection, I remind myself that no matter what, there is always something to be thankful for.

Two of the many things I am thankful for are the team I work with here at Farm Credit East, and the customers we work to support. Each of our nearly 550 employees come from various backgrounds and locations, but all share similar values that allow us to come to work, enjoy our time together and help our remarkable customers.

During this month of Thanksgiving, I was curious what some of my fellow employees are thankful for, so I reached out to a few of my teammates for their reflections on the past year.

Giving thanks across the Northeast

State Certified General Appraiser Brian Rideout said, “I am grateful to have stumbled upon a career that I never even considered during my younger years that exposes me to a wide array of people, experiences and opportunities in addition to providing excellent healthcare and flexibility. Above all, I am thankful for my extremely supportive friends, family and colleagues that support me in all I do.”

“This year, I am thankful for the time spent with friends and family as I spent the year creating many memories along the way. I am also grateful to have a job that I enjoy, where I can make a positive impact on the customers we serve,” said Tax Specialist Abbie Tarbox.

Credit Analyst Specialist Matt Stenger remarked, “I am thankful for the people I have in my life. Their presence reminds me of the importance of connection and gratitude in all that I do.”

“This year I am grateful for the love and support of my family and friends, who continue to be my foundation,” said Payroll Leader Janyce Conner. “I am thankful for the countless blessings the world has offered me, and for the opportunities to learn, grow and pursue my passions and career. I feel fortunate for the journey I am on, and I look forward to all that lies ahead.”

Senior Loan Officer Jacob Adams said, “2024 has made me extremely thankful for all those who provide support in my life, both personally and professionally. I am grateful to have a wide net of people I can lean on for help, advice and encouragement.”

I want to say a big “thank you” to my amazing teammates for sharing what they are thankful for. You will find this to be a common theme throughout Farm Credit East – our customers and coworkers are what make Farm Credit East great. I am proud to work for an organization that places such an emphasis on helping one another while pushing us to be the best we can be.

As Thanksgiving approaches, find some time to sit down and reflect on what you are thankful for. Express your thoughts with your significant other, friends or family. Write them down or make a game out of it. With this reflection, it will be easier to go into the holiday season feeling more appreciative, content and thankful for the things you have.
